What does privacy ,democracy,and freedom have in common? You have none .
In a society that has so much new technology the raw abuse of privacy is rampant,with social networking smart phones and Internet all within the reach of everyone in the western world your privacy has never taken such a beating.
With a slogan of "don't be evil" GOOGLE breaks every single rule in the book from spying ,reading your emails, tracking you ,tracking your spending, tracking the websites that you visit,tracking your facebook twitter and the youtube videos you watch,seriously the list could go on forever.BULLSHIT you say ,well lets a take look then.
Internet giants yahoo and google read every single email you send and receive as admitted by their own term and conditions ,you know those massive things that you don't read .So if you have a gmail account ,live, hotmail ,yahoo etc your emails are being read .They say that the emails are being read by computers only but i seriously doubt that they're the only ones especially when every spy agency, police force , and newspaper in the UK get get them,and did i mention your government. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/11/yahoo_email_read/

Facial recognition software on the Internet, a company called face.com has developed a system that can search virtually the entire Internet to find photographs of a targeted person.So any photos of you on the net in facebook, news articles ,google images,twitter,myspace.Even though your facebook maybe set to private ,your friends may not be and any photo you are in it can find.

While it has been fairly well known for years that government agencies and police can tap your phone and get msgs ,now we fine out that in fact it can be done while your phone is off .Only way to be sure is by taking the battery out ,good luck iphone junkies .But the problem is that hackers are usually fine these things out before police and companies sell the technology over the net so you can do the same thing.

CIA head :We Will Spy On Americans Through Appliances
CIA director David Petraeus has said that the rise of new “smart” gadgets means that Americans are effectively bugging their own homes, saving US spy agencies a job when it identifies any “persons of interest”.
Speaking at a summit for In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s technology investment operation, Petraeus made the comments when discussing new technologies which aim to add processors and web connections to previously ‘dumb’ home appliances such as fridges, ovens and lighting systems.
Wired reports the details via its Danger Room Blog:
“‘Transformational’ is an overused word, but I do believe it properly applies to these technologies,” Petraeus enthused, “particularly to their effect on clandestine tradecraft.”
“Items of interest will be located, identified, monitored, and remotely controlled through technologies such as radio-frequency identification, sensor networks, tiny embedded servers, and energy harvesters — all connected to the next-generation internet using abundant, low-cost, and high-power computing,” Petraeus said.
“the latter now going to cloud computing, in many areas greater and greater supercomputing, and, ultimately, heading to quantum computing.” the CIA head added
